About Abandon Entertainment
Abandon Entertainment is an entertainment/media company that owns valuable media content across multiple platforms including film, television and electronic games.
Formed in 1998, Abandon Entertainment's initial focus was on independent film developing and financing. Their joint venture with Miramax Films includes the upcoming Max Payne at Fox Studios with Marc Walberg, as well as Alice. Abandon’s principals have extensive experience in building successful businesses in the consumer products, media and entertainment industries. The company also has a longstanding record in the game industry, including funding Mythic Entertainment and co-publishing its hit online game Dark Age of Camelot. Mythic was recently sold to Electronic Arts (ERTS).
Abandon Entertainment’s subsidiary, Abandon Interactive Entertainment, develops and publishes video game content for multiple distribution channels and in 2008 will launch Freaky Creatures, a cross-platform massively multiplayer online game that will be published by Abandon and distributed to retail by Warner Music Group.
